ONCE YOU'VE HIRED
Where's my skip?
Due to the nature of the industry we are unable to specify an exact time. We can however specify a morning or afternoon delivery. If you need the skip for a specific time we suggest you arrange to have the skip delivered the day before to avoid any problems.
Can I overload my skip?
We will not collect a skip which has been loaded above the safe level load. This is a legal requirement and we as a public skip hire business must abide by the law.
Can I light a fire in the skip?
No, a skip is not an incinerator and is not designed for fires. Please do not light fires in them or you will be charged to repair the damage.
What happens to the waste after it's taken away?
Once we collect your waste, we take it to our fully licensed waste transfer station where we sort it into separate waste streams using our on-site picking line. The separated waste is then baled and sent to re-processors for onward recycling. We aim to recover and recycle as much waste as possible and use landfill as a last resort.
The materials we currently recycle include:
- Wood
- Scrap Metals
- Cardboard/Paper
- Plastic
- Green Waste
- Hardcore
- Glass.
When will the skip be collected?
Please call us on 01656 740862 when the skip is ready for collection. We aim to collect the skips as quickly as possible, but it will typically take 2-3 working days. If you need to skip removed for a particular date, please notify us as early as possible.
